Actuarial Consultant

Roles & Responsibilities:

 

Support actuarial consulting projects delivery for life insurance company in the Asia Pacific area.

Project type includes:

 

  • Deterministic and stochastic actuarial modelling
  • Financial reporting process transformation
  • Solvency and accounting regime implementation
  • Asset liability management project
  • Business planning and capital projection
  • Product pricing support
  • Financial reporting production support (e.g. IFRS 17, EV, HKRBC and etc.)
  • Support project proposal preparation
  • Apply actuarial analytics skillsets and market knowledge to facilitate project delivery and client interaction

 

What are we looking for:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science major with actuarial related internship experience
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skillset
  • Good progress in actuarial professional examination
  • Good communication and presentation skill
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Knowledge in Prophet, Python, SQL and R is a plus
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Internship position.
Finance Consultant

Roles & Responsibilities:

 

Support Finance consulting projects delivery for life insurance company in the Asia Pacific area.

Project type includes:

 

  • Insurance accounting and finance ledger solutions
  • Asset data system and related process transformation
  • Financial and regulatory reporting regime process design, enhancement and implementation
  • Finance and FP&A process automation with tools like Alteryx, Workiva, Tableau, Anaplan
  • Financial reporting and regulatory reporting production support (such as IFRS17, HKRBC etc.)
  • Regulatory change related transformation
  • Other daily project work support

 

What are we looking for:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance related majors, including but not limited to Finance, Accounting, Economics, Quantitative Finance etc.
  • Passing/taking exam of relevant professional qualification, such as CPA, CFA would be a plus
  • Fast learner and team contributor with sound self-learning capability
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skillset
  • Good communication and presentation skill
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Knowledge in Excel VBA, Alteryx, Workiva, Anaplan or other automation tool is a plus
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Internship position
  • Candidates with work experience on Finance operation and reporting process would be considered as senior consultant
Business Analyst

Roles & Responsibilities:

 

Support project team in building technology solutions for the actuarial and finance domains. This position is perfect for individuals eager to apply their analytical skills in a dynamic environment and contribute to innovative solutions.

 

  • Collaborate with project teams to gather client requirements and develop effective technical solutions.
  • Assist in the implementation of financial and actuarial solutions using various software tools (e.g., Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, Power Automate).
  • Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure alignment with client requirements throughout the implementation process.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations to understand clients’ pain points, and offer expert advice on technical solutions, including the implementation of data visualization tools and automation workflows.
  • Create and maintain documentation for processes, systems, and solutions developed.
  • Assist in ad hoc events as required.
  • Build automation workflows and BI dashboards using data visualization tools.

What we are looking for:

 

  • Preference will be given to fresh graduates or candidates with up to 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Chinese is a plus.
  • Quick learner who enjoys learning new technologies, tools, or knowledge.
  • Coding experience (e.g., VBA, Python, SQL) gained during coursework or projects is highly preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively, with experience in a similar fast-paced, hyper-growth environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound judgments, while also being a collaborative team player.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to take the initiative in solving problems.
  • Familiarity with actuarial, finance, or accounting concepts is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
